I need to update the screenshots for CS2D. If you have any cool screenshots you would like to see on the official page please feel free to share them here!
Please note: original skins only! (the new ones from 1.0.0.2, not classic) English language preferred but not absolutely necessary Shouldn't contain offending texts (names, chat messages ...) PNG or 100% quality jpg only please shots from a vanilla server without fancy Lua texts/images are preferred, but I could also use some shots of crazy Lua mods to showcase the possibilities of Lua scripting Shots of original maps with light engine enabled are preferred Action shots (with battles going on) showing original game modes are preferred
I don't have time to do it right now but I recommend you guys to upload crazy screenshots of the construction and zombies gamemode with maxed graphics, they are fun, have lots of potential and they do a very good job at attracting players!
I tried to get the blink of the bomb in the radar, that was the best shot I could get. I also added a screenshot of the buy menu, especially the MP5 as it's the most recognized gun (I believe). I feel that the menu images are just too cool to let out. It also let's everyone know there is a shop.
@ Masea: Because that's how Valve/Steam creators called the section. It would be weird to put screenshots/posters/wallpapers/videos/interviews/actually-everything-you-can-upload
Nowadays games creators usually put wallpapers or posters there simply because they look better. They are usually photoshopped or timed camera position shots of the game.
@ Yates: In the wallpaper section(spot), I can't see in-game images but in the steam those are in-game images. By the way, I really want to know one question's answer: "Why the fuck people would want to see hud in screenshots?". For me as a gamer, I wouldn't.
The HUD is a crucial part of the game so it should be displayed in screenshots. It's okay to mix in some shots without HUD but there should also be some with HUD.
I also think that the "screenshots" on the CS:GO Steam page are horrible. They simply don't show the game itself. It's just a collection of scenes, trying to make the game look good.
Of course the aim should be to make CS2D look good as well (which is pretty hard because most parts of it aren't super beautiful) but the screenshots should be authentic at the same time.
